Het ecosysteem van Personalised Implants heeft als doel de gehele productieketen van implantaten te optimaliseren om gepersonaliseerde producten te leveren in een kortere tijd, met verbeterde infectiebestendige eigenschappen en een verhoogde functionaliteit.
De komende jaren zullen fabrikanten en R&D bedrijven in Noord-Nederland zoals Witec, Polyvation, Bether Encapsulates en VDL samen met de UMCG klinische afdelingen van het 3DLab, Maxillofacial Department en Traumasurgery samen met Biomedical Enginnering werken aan de ontwikkeling van innovatieve patiëntspecifieke oplossingen.
In de toekomst worden meer regionale samenwerkingsverbanden verwacht.
Het ecosysteem wordt mogelijk gemaakt door het Europees Fonds voor Regionale Ontwikkeling (EFRO), dat in het Noorden wordt gecoördineerd door SNN, met medefinanciering van de Gemeente Groningen en het Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat.
On Tuesday September 22nd 2020, the SNN Open Innovation Ecosystem Personalised Implants had the official start with the signing ceremony.
The Personalised Implants ecosystem aims to optimize the entire implant production chain to deliver personalized products in a shorter time, with improved infection-resistant properties and increased functionality.
In the coming years, manufacturers and R&D companies in the Northern Netherlands such as Witec, Polyvation, Bether Encapsulates and VDL together with the UMCG clinical departments of the 3DLab, Maxillofacial Department and Traumasurgery along with Biomedical Enginnering will work together to develop innovative patient-specific solutions.
In the future, more regional cooperations are expected to start.
The ecosystem is made possible by the European Regional Development Fund (EFRO), which is coordinated in the North by SNN, with co-financing from the Municipality of Groningen and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate.
